On 2 December 2025, at the Office of the Central Committee of the Party, Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of the Lao PDR, received a courtesy call from Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Vice President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), who led a high-level delegation from the Cambodian Party and State to the Lao capital. The delegation was in Vientiane to participate in the celebrations marking the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Lao PDR.

(KPL) On 2 December 2025, at the Office of the Central Committee of the Party, Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of the Lao PDR, received a courtesy call from Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Vice President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), who led a high-level delegation from the Cambodian Party and State to the Lao capital. The delegation was in Vientiane to participate in the celebrations marking the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Lao PDR.
General Secretary Thongloun expressed sincere appreciation, on behalf of the Central Committee of the LPRP, the National Assembly, the Government, the Lao Front for National Construction, and in his own name, for the presence of Samdech Tea Banh and the Cambodian delegation at the commemorative events. He affirmed that their participation reflects profound support and goodwill toward the Lao Party, State and people, while contributing significantly to the continued consolidation of the traditional solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Laos and Cambodia.
Samdech Tea Banh conveyed heartfelt gratitude for the warm and fraternal welcome extended by the Lao side. He congratulated the Lao Party, State and people on the 50th Anniversary of the Lao PDR and commended the successful organisation of the national celebration. He highly valued the achievements Laos has recorded over the past five decades under the leadership of the LPRP, noting that these accomplishments demonstrate resilience, unity and effective governance.
Both sides reaffirmed their appreciation for the mutual support extended throughout the historic struggles for national liberation, as well as in current efforts toward national defence and socio-economic development. They welcomed the tangible progress in bilateral cooperation across all sectors, particularly the implementation of agreements reached by high-level leaders, the outcomes of the 15th Summit of the two Parties, and the trilateral cooperation involving Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
The two leaders reiterated their commitment to safeguarding, strengthening and advancing the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and the peoples of Laos and Cambodia, ensuring that these ties continue to develop in depth and deliver concrete benefits to both nations.
On this occasion, General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith also conveyed his warmest regards to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni and senior leaders of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
