MoU signed to promote Laos’ exports to China

KPL (KPL) A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed here in Vientiane on Apr 12 for conducting a feasibility study into the promotion of the export of Lao products to China.

(KPL) A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed here in Vientiane on Apr 12 for conducting a feasibility study into the promotion of the export of Lao products to China.

Signatories to the document were representatives of the Permanent Secretary’s Office of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Shanghai Zhe Zhe Qang Co., Ltd and Lao Konsin International Group.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by a deputy minister of Industry and Commerce and representatives of relevant offices.

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce Buavanh Vilavong said that the signing of the cooperation agreement was for conducting a feasibility study into the promotion of the export of Lao products to China especially agricultural produce, processed agricultural products, industrial products, and traditional herbal products.

“The signing will also promote technical cooperation especially on planning of activities, training, and the improvement of Lao product quality so that the Lao products meet export standards and can be exported to China and finally we will be able to establish a joint company, an office, a wherehouse in Laos and have technical cooperation with the Department of Trade Promotion and Handicraft, Ministry of Industry and Commerce,” Buavanh Vilavong said.
