(KPL) The President of the National Assembly of Laos, Mr. Xayaomphone Phomvihanh and his delegation attended the 43rd  ASEAN International Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) and paid an official visit to Cambodia on November 20-26, 2022".

 Heng Samrin, President of the Parliament of Cambodia and Chairman of the Second ASEAN Intervention (AIPA) on Sunday night, November 20, led the AIPA Executive Committee meeting in Phnom Penh.

The meeting has been invited by His Excellency, the President of the Assembly and the Chairman of the Delegation Committee of the AIPA Member Assembly to discuss and approve the AIPA 43rd AIPA Convention Action Program and the Agenda of the Convention, along with some other works as the direction of the AIPA the 2nd IPA of the year 2022.

ASEAN Intervention (AIPA) is an ASEAN member forum that gathers the feedback, opinions and views of citizens' representatives in promoting the parliamentary mechanism under a broad vision and close cooperation to resolve common issues affecting the Asian region. The members of AIPA include Brunei Darusalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

President Heng Samrin has expressed his deep gratitude to the leadership of the parliament, which are all AIPA members, who have led the delegates to this meaningful convention. The President hopes that His Excellency will share their views, ideas and good experiences in addressing issues of concern of citizens both locally and globally.

Heng Samrin wishes all delegates to stay in Phnom Penh with happiness and success in the joint mission of AIPA family this time.
