Beerlao Grants 1.4 Bln kip for Renovation of Parks

KPL (KPL) Lao Brewery Company has granted 1.4 billion kip for renovation of public parks in Vientiane Capital, aiming to make Vientiane a green city.

(KPL) Lao Brewery Company has granted 1.4 billion kip for renovation of public parks in Vientiane Capital, aiming to make Vientiane a green city.

The handover ceremony of the grant was held on Aug 1 in Vientiane Capital between Vientiane Mayor Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune and Deputy Director of Lao Brewery Company, Mr Sounthone Silisack in the presence of relevant officials.

The park renovation project is among efforts of the capital city to achieve its six slogans – clean, peaceful, green, charming, civilized and illuminating.   

The renovation project will implemented through 2022 involving renovation of Chao Anouvong Park, 450 Years Roundabout Park and Chinaimo Roundabout Park.

The renovation project is among efforts of Vientiane Capital to attract more foreign visitors to the country as Laos will launch Visit Laos Year 2018 during the celebration of That Luang Festival in Vientiane in November this year.

Over recent years, the Beerlao Brewery Company has provided over 2.9 billion kip as financial support for the renovation of public parks in Vientiane Capital and granted scholarships to underprivileged students, especially students of low income families and orphan students who are good at study.
