A welcoming ceremony for President Bounnhang, his spouse and his entourage was held at the Presidential Palace of Myanmar in Naypyidaw.

A bilateral meeting was held after the welcoming ceremony where the visiting President and his host highly valued the outcomes of the sound relations and cooperation recorded by the two countries over the past years. The discussion between the two state leaders also covered regional and international issues of common interest.
