Officials of the Lao Embassy in Hanoi participated in the 51st Hanoi Moi Open Newspaper Running Championship for Peace 2026 on September 27, 2026, joining more than 3,000 runners in an event marking the 72nd anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi.
(KPL) Mrs. Rattana Sihalath, Minister-Counsellor and Head of the Office of the Embassy of the Lao PDR in Vietnam, led a 24-member Lao Embassy delegation at the event.
The race featured three categories: a 250-metre VIP run, a 3,500-metre race for men and a 1,750-metre race for women.
The annual event brought together runners from different sectors and communities, promoting physical fitness, friendship and peace while commemorating Hanoi’s historic liberation on October 10, 1954.
