Lao-Chinese military medical team to provide free services in four provinces

KPL A joint Lao-Chinese military medical team will provide free medical services in Vientiane and three southern provinces from September 16–21, 2026, following the completion of the Peace Train-2026 joint humanitarian assistance and medical exercise.

The medical mission will offer specialist consultations and treatment, surgical demonstrations, health check-ups and academic lectures as part of ongoing cooperation between the two countries in healthcare and humanitarian assistance.
In Vientiane, services will be provided at the Level 1 Treatment Building of the Lao-China Friendship Hospital (Building II) and Military Central Hospital 103.
The team will also provide services at Hospital 106 in Savannakhet Province, Hospital 109 in Champasak Province and in Attapeu Province.
The joint mission is expected to provide people in the participating provinces with access to free medical services while strengthening practical cooperation and the exchange of medical expertise between Lao and Chinese military medical personnel.
