Sekong Province has completed preparations for the upcoming election of the 10th National Assembly (NA) members and 5th Provincial People’s Council (PPC) members, according to local sources.
The province now has 106 polling units, an increase of 7 from the previous term, and 76,910 registered voters, up by 7,126 compared to the last election. Lamam District has 34 polling units, Thateng 20, Kaleum 21, and Dakcheung 31.
In Constituency 16, Sekong Province, 10 candidates are contesting for 7 National Assembly seats, while 33 candidates are vying for 25 Provincial People’s Council seats.
Mr. Toulavanh Vongsay, a member of the Provincial Election Commission, confirmed on January 28, 2026, that all arrangements, including voter registration and polling unit allocation, have been completed to ensure a smooth and organized election process.
