(KPL) On January 24, 2026, Mr. Vu Ngoc Ly, Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Northern Laos, led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the Xayaboury Provincial Administration Office to extend New Year greetings for the International New Year 2026.
The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Phengnilan Khamphanpheng, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Xayaboury Provincial People’s Council, together with senior provincial officials.
During the meeting, Mr. Vu Ngoc Ly conveyed his best wishes to the newly elected Provincial Party Committee and provincial leaders, wishing them good health, success in their duties, and happiness for themselves and their families. He also expressed his confidence that the current leadership would continue to guide the province in successfully implementing the resolutions of the Provincial Party Congress across all sectors.
The Consul General further thanked the provincial authorities for their continued support and for creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese citizens and businesses living and operating in Xayaboury, noting that cooperation between the province and various localities in Vietnam would continue to deepen.
In response, Mr. Phengnilan Khamphanpheng expressed his appreciation for the Consul General’s attention and support for the province. He reaffirmed Xayaboury’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Vietnam, particularly in attracting Vietnamese investment, enhancing collaboration with sister provinces, and ensuring the effective implementation of joint projects across multiple sectors.
