Laos Records 9,372 Dengue Fever Cases in First Nine Months of 2025

KPL Laos has reported a total of 9,372 dengue fever cases, including one death, from January to September 2025, according to the Ministry of Health.

In its report released on Monday, the ministry stated that the highest number of infections was recorded in the capital, Vientiane, with 4,738 cases. Oudomxay Province followed with 1,034 cases, while Vientiane Province reported 693.

The single fatality occurred in Vientiane Capital, where health authorities remain on high alert.

In response to the ongoing outbreak, the Lao government has urged health officials and medical staff across the country to strengthen the management and monitoring of dengue fever cases to prevent a wider spread.

The Ministry of Health also confirmed it will continue working closely with development partners to reduce the incidence of dengue. The public is being urged to stay vigilant, take preventive measures, and help limit the risk of further infections.
