MPWT Announces Appointment of New Deputy Minister

KPL The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) has appointed Detsongkham Thammavong as Deputy Minister, while transferring Xaysongkham Manotham, former Deputy Minister, to a new post at the National Institute for Economic and Social Sciences.

(KPL) The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) has appointed Detsongkham Thammavong as Deputy Minister, while transferring Xaysongkham Manotham, former Deputy Minister, to a new post at the National Institute for Economic and Social Sciences.

The appointment ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith, alongside ministers, deputy ministers, department heads, and other senior officials.

In his remarks, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the newly appointed officials and urged them to draw on their professional experience, understand their new responsibilities in depth, and continue developing their respective sectors in line with assigned objectives. He called on them to strengthen leadership, unity, and solidarity within their teams to improve efficiency and accelerate implementation.

Mr. Saleumxay also underscored the need to uphold democratic centralism, ensure collective decision-making, and strictly adhere to leadership principles and work regulations. He stressed the importance of focusing on key priorities, fostering teamwork, and maintaining discipline to achieve the ministry’s goals effectively.
