The event was witnessed by Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, Minister of Health Bounfeng Phoummalaysith, and representatives from relevant sectors.
Prime Minister Sonexay expressed his appreciation for the donation, noting that the equipment and vaccines will play a significant role in disease prevention and treatment efforts. He emphasized that the government will ensure the effective use of the aid to reach target groups and advance universal vaccination goals.
On behalf of the Lao government, Ministry of Health, and the Lao people, the Prime Minister extended heartfelt thanks to the donors and expressed hope for continued support in the future.
During the ceremony, the Prime Minister also highlighted the country’s socio-economic achievements, investment promotion policies, and major milestones planned for 2025. He encouraged the China-ASEAN Economic Development Association to attract more Chinese investment to Laos, especially in key sectors such as mineral processing, agriculture, and services.
Mr. Quan Shunji, President of the China-ASEAN Economic Development Association, reaffirmed the strong traditional ties between China and Laos. He outlined the Association’s contributions to bilateral cooperation and regional development.
The donation was formally handed over by Mr. Quan Shunji and received by Minister of Health Bounfeng.
