(KPL) The Trade and Handicrafts Promotion Department of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Laos, in collaboration with the Trade Promotion Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Lao-ITECC, will organize the "Lao-Viet Trade Fair 2025" from July 17 to 21, 2025, at the Lao-ITECC Centre in Vientiane.

The event aims to further strengthen and enhance the long-standing friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, particularly in boosting trade relations between the two nations. It also provides an opportunity for businesspeople and entrepreneurs from both countries to exchange experiences, showcase product quality, and promote increased trade activities.

The fair is expected to encourage bilateral trade growth and support the implementation of the trade agreement between the two governments, which aims to achieve the set trade value targets.

The event will feature over 200 exhibition booths, with participation from Lao enterprises from across the country and Vietnamese businesses. Products on display will primarily include consumer goods, processed agricultural products, agricultural goods, handicrafts, clothing and fashion, seafood, furniture, medicines, and medical equipment.

In addition to the product exhibition, the fair will include various activities such as the distribution of promotional items to visitors, cultural and artistic performances showcasing the unique traditions of Laos and Vietnam, and Lao-Vietnamese singing performances by students and youth. A special highlight will be daily art displays from Vietnam throughout the event.

This trade fair is set to be a significant platform for fostering economic and cultural ties between Laos and Vietnam, contributing to the continued growth of their special relationship.
