Lao Government Receives Five Electric Vehicles

KPL A handover ceremony for five electric vehicles donated by PLC Auto Car to the Lao government took place on January 13, 2025, at the Prime Minister’s Office, Vientiane. Representing the donor, Mr. Vu Xin Li, a member of the Executive Committee of PLC Auto Car, presented the vehicles to Mr. Bouakhong Nammavong, Minister and Head of the Prime Minister’s Office, in the presence of representatives from relevant offices.

(KPL) A handover ceremony for five electric vehicles donated by PLC Auto Car to the Lao government took place on January 13, 2025, at the Prime Minister’s Office, Vientiane. Representing the donor, Mr. Vu Xin Li, a member of the Executive Committee of PLC Auto Car, presented the vehicles to Mr. Bouakhong Nammavong, Minister and Head of the Prime Minister’s Office, in the presence of representatives from relevant offices.

The donated vehicles, Hongqi EQM5 models, have a total value of 2.2 billion kip. These vehicles are intended for use in government operations, supporting the policy of energy conservation and reducing reliance on fuel imports. The donation also aims to promote the use of clean energy, aligning with green and sustainable development trend.

On behalf of the Lao government, Mr. Bouakhong Nammavong expressed heartfelt gratitude and high appreciation for PLC Auto Car's support. He emphasized the significance of the donation in facilitating government operations and contributing to the development of the Lao PDR. He also assured that the vehicles would be well-maintained and utilized effectively to achieve the intended purposes and maximize their benefits.
