(KPL/Prensa Latina) Yuri Borisov, the director general of the Russian space corporation Roscosmos, announced that the agency launched 99 satellites in 2024, bringing the total to 288.

He noted that this number fluctuates as some satellites become non-operational and require replacement.

Borisov stated that Russia ranks third globally in the growth of its national space group.

He mentioned that another launch is scheduled for the end of 2024, with the Soyuz-2.16 rocket set to launch the Resurs-P No. 5 satellite today, which will capture detailed images of the Earth’s surface.

He emphasized that developing the satellite group is a priority for Roscosmos, which is actively working on mass-producing space devices.
