(KPL) — Laos' inflation rate saw a slight decline in October, dropping to 20.7% from 21.7% in September and 24.3% in August, according to a report from the Lao Statistics Bureau.

Medical care and medicines recorded the steepest price rise in October, up 30.8%, followed by housing, water, electricity, and gas, which increased by 29.9%. Hotel and restaurant prices rose 27.5%, and household goods by 27.3%.

The easing inflation is attributed to reduced pressures on the exchange rate and shifts in global oil prices.
