Lao Consulate General in Guangzhou Mobilizes Aid for Flood Victims

KPL On October 1, 2024, Ms. Vanpheng Xaysomboun, Consul General of the Lao PDR in Guangzhou, China’s Guangdong Province, and her team coordinated the delivery of relief supplies and essential goods for aerial transport to Laos to support flood victims.

(KPL) On October 1, 2024, Ms. Vanpheng Xaysomboun, Consul General of the Lao PDR in Guangzhou, China’s Guangdong Province, and her team coordinated the delivery of relief supplies and essential goods for aerial transport to Laos to support flood victims.

The relief items, which were donated by Chinese businesses, companies, Lao students, and Lao people living in China, were presented to airport authorities in Guangzhou for shipment to Laos.

The relief package included blankets, clothes, rice, noodles, and sesame oil. These items will be flown to Laos via Lao Airlines on its Vientiane-Guangzhou-Vientiane flight.

In addition, a cash donation of over 167 million kip was contributed by both Chinese and Lao communities in China to aid flood victims in Laos.
