KPL (KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone expressed hope that the upcoming Summit of the Future, to be held in New York on September 22-23, will foster international cooperation.

(KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone expressed hope that the upcoming Summit of the Future, to be held in New York on September 22-23, will foster international cooperation.

He made these remarks on Thursday during a global video call promoting the event.

Prime Minister Sonexay spoke from Vientiane, with his speech featured on UN Web TV on September 12. The global call, initiated by the President of Namibia and coordinated by Germany, includes speeches by leaders of UN member states.

Mr. Sonexay praised the Summit of the Future, stressing its role in tackling global challenges and urging solidarity to strengthen international cooperation. He emphasized the UN's importance and supported an "international agreement for the future" to promote peace, development, and sustainability, helping achieve the UN's goals by 2030.
