Lao Prime Minister to attend 43rd ASEAN Summit

KPL (KPL) Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and his delegation will participate in the 43rd ASEAN Summit and other related summits under the theme of ASEAN matters: Epicentral of Growth” which scheduled in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 4-7, in response to the invitation of President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, as the ASEAN chairmanship 2023.

(KPL) Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and his delegation will participate in the 43rd ASEAN Summit and other related summits under the theme of ASEAN matters: Epicentral of Growth” which scheduled in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 4-7, in response to the invitation of President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, as the ASEAN chairmanship 2023.

Lao Prime Minister Sonexay will join the leaders of the ASEAN member countries to review the creation of the ASEAN Community and ASEAN cooperation with dialogue partners and be aware of the progress of creating the ASEAN Community Vision in 2025.

He will also attend the ASEAN Summit with dialogue partners included Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Russia, the United States and the UN.

The closing ceremony of ASEAN Summit, President of Indonesia on behalf of ASEAN chairmanship 2023 will hand over the ASEAN Summit Chairmanship 2024 to Lao Prime Minister Sonxay.

In addition, Prime Minister Sonexay will also have bilateral meetings with his ASEAN counterparts and ASEAN dialogue partners to discuss bilateral cooperation and invite leaders to attend the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and other related summits hosted by Laos in 2024.
