(KPL) Government spokesperson Mr Chaleun Yiapaoher has called on local media to disseminate accurate guidelines and policies of the Party’s and government so the general public gains a better understanding.
He made the request on Jan 11 during a meeting with representatives of electronic and print media at the National Convention Centre, Vientiane Capital.
“The objective of our meeting here today is to exchange opinions frankly on effective ways to disseminate and produce news that clearly explains the policies of government as well as laws and regulation,” said Minister to Prime Minister’s Office Mr Chaleun.
“All comments from media representatives are useful for the government and we welcome all comments so as to improve our work,” said Mr Chaleun.
Mr Chaleun called on all media outlets to produce and issue news that matches the Party’s guidelines, National Constitution and laws as well as the real situation of the nation and Lao ethnic groups.
The media outlets were asked for strengthened cooperation in disseminating useful news throughout the nation.
