The meetings brought together representatives of more than 48 political parties from around the world to exchange views on international developments and issues of common interest.
Speaking at the international seminar, Comrade Bounleuam Phandanouvong extended congratulations and expressed high appreciation to the Communist Party of Cuba for organising the event despite the difficulties and challenges facing the country.
He expressed solidarity with the Cuban Party, Government and people and commended the Cuban people's determination to steadfastly pursue their chosen development path.
Comrade Bounleuam expressed confidence that Cuba's long-standing tradition of steadfast struggle, together with solidarity and support from communist and workers' parties and peace-loving peoples worldwide, would enable the Party, Government and people of Cuba to overcome existing challenges, safeguard the achievements of the Cuban Revolution and attain further successes in national development.
At the 24th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties, Comrade Bounleuam highlighted the achievements of the international communist and workers' movement over the past period.
He reaffirmed the Lao People's Revolutionary Party's commitment to actively coordinating with communist and workers' parties and progressive movements worldwide, stressing that the advancement of the socialist cause is closely linked to solidarity, cooperation and mutual support among fraternal parties.
He said the Lao People's Revolutionary Party stands ready to further strengthen cooperation with communist and workers' parties, particularly through the exchange of theoretical and practical experiences in socialist construction based on the specific conditions and characteristics of each country.
He also reaffirmed the Party's support for efforts to oppose imperialism, oppression, exploitation and interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states, while promoting peace, national independence, democracy and social progress worldwide.
The Lao delegation's participation in the meetings was successfully concluded, contributing to the promotion of peace, stability, security and development among nations.
The visit also provided an opportunity to further strengthen and deepen the traditional friendship and cooperation between Laos and Cuba, while expanding relations between the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and political parties in other countries.
