Two more brands of beer launched in Laos

KPL KPL) The Lao Brewery Company launched Somersby and Kronenbourg, two additional premium brands of beer, in Vientiane Capital on 4 February. Somersby, a cider product, was established in Denmark and was the best seller of Carlsberg in 2014, said the Managing Director of Lao Brewery Company, Mr Kissana Vongsay.

(KPL) The Lao Brewery Company launched Somersby and Kronenbourg, two additional premium brands of beer, in Vientiane Capital on 4 February.

Somersby, a cider product, was established in Denmark and was the best seller of Carlsberg in 2014, said the Managing Director of Lao Brewery Company, Mr Kissana Vongsay.

Somersby is one of the favorite drinks in Europe and is currently distributed to more than 50 countries worldwide.

Somersby is brewed with apple cider, sugar and apple juice concentrate, and has an alcohol content of 4.5 %, said Mr Kissana.

Somersby is available for sale in many different delicious variants, but the most popular variants of the Somersby portfolio are apple, pear and blackberry.Somersby apple cider, which will be sold in 330-ml bottles, will be available for purchase later this month.Kronenbourg 1664 is the best selling French beer in the world and is the market leader for high-end premium beers. It was named after the year the Hatt family, the founders of Brasseries Kronenbourg, first started commercial brewing. Kronenbourg is the fifth oldest beer brand in the world.In 2008, the Carlsberg Group became the owners of the Kronenbourg 1664 brand as part of the acquisition of Scottish and Newcastle. Geographic expansion and proposition has led the brand to a leading position in the International Premium beer market. The Lao Brewery Company distributes two kinds of Kronenbourg 1664, Blanc and Kronenbourg 1664 Larger.
