Vice President Vienthong Siphandone received a farewell courtesy call from Yaron Mayer, Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Lao PDR, at the Presidential Palace on July 29 as he concluded his diplomatic mission in Laos.
During the meeting, the Vice President congratulated Ambassador Mayer on the successful completion of his tenure and expressed appreciation for his contributions to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Laos and Israel.
She also wished the ambassador continued success in his future assignments and expressed confidence that he would continue supporting bilateral relations by sharing his experience with his successor and helping advance ongoing cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Ambassador Mayer thanked the Government and people of the Lao PDR for their support and cooperation throughout his diplomatic mission, which enabled him to carry out his responsibilities successfully.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing to promote the friendship and cooperative relations between Israel and the Lao PDR in the years ahead.
