Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith has called on Oudomxay Province to accelerate infrastructure development and improve the investment environment to attract more domestic and foreign investment, particularly in the Amata City Lao industrial development project.

Speaking during a consultation meeting between government agencies and Amata City Lao Co., Ltd., the developer of the Modern and Environmentally Friendly Industrial City in Namor District, Saleumxay emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to strengthen infrastructure that supports long-term economic growth.
He urged provincial authorities to promote investment that generates employment, boosts local incomes and contributes to sustainable socio-economic development. He also stressed the importance of closely monitoring investment projects to ensure they comply with contractual obligations and relevant laws while maintaining security and public order.
The deputy prime minister called for decisive action against inactive or underperforming projects and urged authorities to resolve outstanding issues promptly to keep major investments on schedule.
During the meeting, Vongsavan Xayavong, President of the Oudomxay Provincial Administration Organization, briefed participants on the province's investment performance, including progress and remaining challenges related to the Amata City Lao project. Officials and company representatives exchanged views on measures to facilitate implementation and address key obstacles.
Following the meeting, Saleumxay and his delegation visited the project site in Namor District to inspect construction progress and review ongoing development.
