Mr. Steven Liu, Deputy General Manager of China Tobacco International Group Limited

Mr. Steven Liu noted that since its establishment in Laos in 1992, the company has capitalized on its comprehensive advantages across "agriculture, industry, trade, research, production, and domestic and foreign sales".

It has deeply integrated the entire process from tobacco cultivation to the end consumer, contributing to Laos's economic and social development.

He emphasized that the rebranding is not only a continuation of the entrepreneurial spirit cultivated over 30 years but also a crucial step for future growth and a new beginning. Despite the name change, the company's core philosophy of being "based in Laos, serving Laos, and contributing to Laos" remains unchanged.

Vientiane Mayor Atsaphangthong Siphandone acknowledged the company's contributions to Lao economic development over the past 30 years.

He stated that the firm's tangible impact extends beyond providing stable employment and training a large number of technical professionals; it has also fostered deep friendship between the peoples of the two nations, serving as a clear example of practical Laos-China economic and trade cooperation.

He expressed hope that the rebranding would be an opportunity to deepen the bilateral friendship and inject fresh momentum into the development of Laos-China relations.

Originally founded in Savannakhet Province in 1992, China Tobacco International Lao Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is one of the diversified Chinese tobacco industry enterprises operating abroad. After more than 30 years of dedicated development, the company has consistently adhered to its "based in Laos, serve Laos, contribute to Laos" ethos, demonstrating the responsibility of a Chinese enterprise establishing itself in Laos and providing steady strength for the local economy and continuous vitality for Laos-China cooperation.
