(KPL/Prensa Latina) The Ruisenor de los Puentes 2025 Vocal Interpretation Festival will take place in Cuba's Matanzas province on November 28 and 29 at Sauto Theater, a National Monument. The event, aimed at promoting the musical talent of young artists, is sponsored by Bonifacio Byrne Cultural Center and features prominent local musicians serving as judges, such as Maestro Reynaldo Montalvo, who leads the panel.
According to the festival’s official announcement, a total of 14 finalists will compete over the two days of the event, selected by a committee of experts headed by the art instructors of the Bonifacio Byrne Cultural Center.
The jury, which also includes renowned figures, such as artists will award the Ruisenor de los Puentes Grand Prize as well as the first three places, in addition to any honorable mentions they deem necessary.
The program notes that, independently of the jury prizes, the public will be able to award their favorite contestant, all selected based on the quality of their performance and stage presence.
This year, the Festival will feature special guests, including the Jazz Band Juvenil Swing Cubano directed by Maestro Bruno Villalonga, soloist Alfonso Llorens, members of the Donaire Spanish Ballet Academy, and the Mariachi Atenas.
