KPL (KPL/Yonhap) Hyundai Motor Group said Friday it has formed a strategic partnership with CuspAI, a British artificial intelligence (AI) startup, in developing next-generation materials through advanced technology.

(KPL/Yonhap) Hyundai Motor Group said Friday it has formed a strategic partnership with CuspAI, a British artificial intelligence (AI) startup, in developing next-generation materials through advanced technology.

The two sides signed an agreement for the partnership in Cambridge, Britain, establishing a framework for collaboration on using generative AI to identify and optimize new materials for Hyundai's future mobility solutions.

Through the collaboration, Hyundai plans to apply CuspAI's proprietary AI models and simulations to improve the efficiency, durability and stability of materials used in electric vehicles (EVs), batteries and other smart mobility technologies.

"This strategic alliance represents Hyundai Motor Group's commitment to leveraging breakthrough technologies to accelerate materials innovation and maintain its leadership in the rapidly evolving mobility landscape," the group said.
