On August 30, 2025, Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, sent a congratulatory telegram to Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, on the occasion of his appointment.
(KPL) On August 30, 2025, Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, sent a congratulatory telegram to Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, on the occasion of his appointment.
In the telegram, Minister Thongsavanh expressed his delight at the news of Mr. Le’s appointment, noting that this important assignment reflects the confidence and high appreciation of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam for his knowledge, leadership, and significant contributions to foreign affairs. He also commended Mr. Le’s effective role in promoting “bamboo diplomacy” and in enhancing Vietnam’s status and role in regional and international arenas.
Minister Thongsavanh expressed his confidence that, with Mr. Le’s extensive knowledge, abilities, and experience, he would continue to achieve even greater success in his new position. He reaffirmed his readiness to work closely with Mr. Le to further strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, and peoples, particularly between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Laos and Vietnam, so that relations would continue to flourish.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on September 2, Minister Thongsavanh, on behalf of the leadership and staff of the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs and on his own behalf, conveyed warmest congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Le and, through him, to the leadership and staff of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He concluded by expressing sincere congratulations on Mr. Le’s appointment and his hope to meet with him in the near future.
