KPL On June 18, 2025, the Party Central Committee Office held a ceremony to mark the handover of leadership roles. The event was attended by Mr. Bounthong Chitmany, Politburo member and Vice President, along with other senior Party officials.

(KPL) On June 18, 2025, the Party Central Committee Office held a ceremony to mark the handover of leadership roles. The event was attended by Mr. Bounthong Chitmany, Politburo member and Vice President, along with other senior Party officials.

The ceremony announced new appointments approved by the Politburo.

Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek, the outgoing Secretary and Head of the Office, will now take a new position at the Ministry of Education and Sports.

Mr. Phet Phomphiphak, former Secretary at the Ministry of Planning and Investment, was appointed as the new Secretary and Head of the Party Central Committee Office.

In his farewell speech, Mr. Thongsalith reflected on his time in office. He highlighted achievements such as legal reforms, improved staff capacity, a strong research team, and better international cooperation, especially with Vietnam.

Mr. Bounthong praised these efforts and stressed the value of leadership transitions in strengthening the Party’s work.

Mr. Phet, now taking office, thanked the Party for its trust. He promised to continue the progress made, uphold the traditions of the office, promote political education, and improve the effectiveness of Party operations.

The event highlighted the Party’s focus on strong leadership and continuous improvement within the Central Committee Office.
