Deputy Minister Bids Farewell to Vietnamese Consul General

KPL On June 17, 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Phongsamouth Anlavanh met with Ms. Kieu Thi Hang Phuc, Consul General of Vietnam in Luang Prabang, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting marked the end of Ms. Kieu’s diplomatic mission in Laos.

(KPL) On June 17, 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Phongsamouth Anlavanh met with Ms. Kieu Thi Hang Phuc, Consul General of Vietnam in Luang Prabang, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting marked the end of Ms. Kieu’s diplomatic mission in Laos.

Ms. Phongsamouth praised Ms. Kieu for her successful 3-year term (July 2022 – June 2025), especially her efforts in strengthening cooperation between the two countries. She highlighted Ms. Kieu’s role in promoting partnerships between the 8 northern provinces of Laos and various provinces of Vietnam. She also acknowledged the Consul General’s support for Vietnamese associations in Laos and their contributions to local development and respect for Lao laws.

The Deputy Minister wished Ms. Kieu success in her next role and expressed confidence that she would continue to help strengthen Laos–Vietnam relations.

In response, Ms. Kieu expressed her gratitude for the strong support from the Lao government and Ministry of Foreign Affairs during her time in office. She pledged to continue supporting the special friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the future.
