President Thongloun arrives in Beijing for a state visit

KPL (KPL) President Thongloun Sisoulith, accompanied by his spouse and a delegation of high ranking officials of Laos, arrived in Beijing this morning for a state visit to China in response to the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

(KPL) President Thongloun Sisoulith, accompanied by spouse and a delegation of high ranking officials of Laos, arrived in Beijing this morning for a state visit to China in response to the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

Scheduled for Nov 29-Dec 2, President Thongloun’s visit aims to strengthen the longstanding relations and comprehensive strategic partnership in line with the four-good principle, and deepen the building of a community of shared future.

An official welcome ceremony in honour of President Thongloun will be held on Nov 30.

President Thongloun is expected to meet his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, who is also General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, President of China’s National People’s Congress Li Zhanshu, attend Laos-China Cooperation Exhibition and visit well-known tourist attractions in Beijing.
