KPL Lao and Cambodian youth leaders have agreed to strengthen cooperation through youth exchanges, business networking and local-level activities, particularly in border provinces.

(KPL) The agreement was reached during a meeting between Thongly Sisoulith, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union, and Hun Manet, Vice-President of the Cambodian People's Party and President of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Youth Party, in Phnom Penh on October 7, 2026.

The two sides agreed to promote youth exchanges to deepen understanding of each other's history, traditions and culture.

They also agreed to create more opportunities for young entrepreneurs and business associations from the two countries to establish contacts, conduct business matching and exchange experiences in trade and investment.

At the local level, the two sides will encourage youth cooperation in border provinces through cultural and sporting activities and friendly visits to promote peace, friendship and mutual understanding.

The Lao delegation expressed confidence that the agreements reached would be translated into practical activities with continued support from the leaders of both countries.
