The Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia hosted the 4th Meeting of the Cambodia-Lao PDR Joint Working Group on Bilateral Tourism Cooperation on 14 December 2025.
The meeting brought together senior officials and technical representatives from both countries to discuss ways to enhance collaboration in the tourism sector.
The Cambodian delegation was led by Mr. Chuk Chumno, Director-General of Tourism Development and International Cooperation, serving as Head of the Cambodia National Tourism Organization. The Lao delegation was led by Mr. Phouthone Dalalom, Deputy Director General of Tourism Development, Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed progress achieved since the previous session and exchanged views on key areas of cooperation, including cross-border tourism facilitation, joint tourism promotion, connectivity, and capacity building. Participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening practical collaboration and maintaining close coordination to promote sustainable and mutually beneficial tourism development between Cambodia and Lao PDR.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties signed the official minutes and agreed on implementation goals for 2026–2027, setting a roadmap for continued cooperation in the tourism sector.
