KPL Mr Sonexay Siphandone was re-elected Prime Minister of the Lao PDR during the inaugural session of the 10th legislature of the National Assembly in Vientiane this morning.

Mr Sonexay Siphandone was re-elected Prime Minister of the Lao PDR during the inaugural session of the 10th legislature of the National Assembly in Vientiane this morning.

The opening session, convened at the National Assembly Hall, brought together lawmakers from across the country to begin deliberations on key national priorities and leadership appointments for the new term.

Members of the National Assembly voted with 98.83 per cent approval to retain Mr Sonexay Siphandone as the head of government, underscoring strong confidence in his leadership and experience.

Scheduled for March 23 to 27, the first session of the 10th National Assembly allows lawmakers to review and approve major national agendas, including legislative plans, development strategies, and institutional frameworks for the new term
