(KPL) Candidates for the 10th National Assembly representing Constituency 1, Unit 2, pledged to uphold the people’s interests, strengthen national development and ensure responsive representation during a campaign meeting with voters in Xaythany District, Vientiane, on February 12, 2026.
The campaign, held at Vernkham Village Temple, gathered voters from Somsa-at, Vernkham, Phonexay, Phonengam, Nongkheng, Nongno and Chaleunxay villages.
The delegation was led by Mr. Thanongxay Khoutphaythoun (No. 3), Head of the Vientiane Investment Promotion and Management Office and current member of the Vientiane People’s Council. He was joined by Mr. Vikeo Boupphavanh (No. 8), Deputy Minister and Deputy Head of the Prime Minister’s Office; Mr. Viengthong Sophapmixay (No. 15), Director of the Vientiane Justice Department; Mr. Sombat Chanthamad (No. 18), Chairman of the Economic, Planning and Finance Committee of the Vientiane People’s Council; and Ms. Champathong Thalongsangchan (No. 23), Vice President of the Women Business Association.
During the session, candidates presented their professional backgrounds and policy priorities, committing to serve as responsible representatives of the people, promote transparent governance and contribute to national and local development.
They also encouraged voters to carefully consider candidates’ qualifications and to actively participate in the February 22, 2026 election.
