(KPL) The handover ceremony between the outgoing and incoming Directors of the Vientiane Political and Public Administration School (VPAS) was held on February 2, 2026, in Vientiane Capital.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Atsaphangthong Siphandone, Mayor of Vientiane Capital, along with representatives from relevant departments and sectors.

At the event, Mr. Phongsavanh Siliphan, the outgoing Director, presented a report reviewing the school’s leadership and management during his tenure. He highlighted key achievements, lessons learned, and remaining challenges that require continued attention and solutions.

A representative of the Vientiane Organization Committee then read the official resolution on the reshuffling of leadership positions. Under the resolution, Mr. Phongsavanh Siliphan was transferred from his position as Director of the Vientiane Political and Public Administration School to assume the role of President of the Lao Front for National Development of Vientiane Capital, while Ms. Viengphone Keokhounsy was officially appointed as the new Director of the Vientiane Political and Public Administration School.

In his closing remarks, Mayor Atsaphangthong Siphandone congratulated both officials and provided guidance and encouragement, urging the outgoing and incoming leaders to continue fulfilling their duties with responsibility and effectiveness in their new roles.
