Candidate Statistics
A total of 243 candidates have been registered nationwide to contest the elections, with 175 seats to be filled. Among the candidates, 66 are women.
The list includes 67 candidates from the central level (18 women) and 176 candidates from the local level (48 women). In addition, 37 members of the 9th Legislature are seeking re-election, including 15 women. The private sector is represented by one candidate from a state enterprise and nine candidates from private businesses, two of whom are women.
Legal Basis and Approval
The announcement is made in accordance with Article 11 of the Law on the Election of Members of the National Assembly and Provincial People’s Councils (No. 58/NA, dated June 28, 2024) and Presidential Decree No. 338/PR, dated December 30, 2025. The candidate list was formally approved by the National Election Committee at its meeting on January 23, 2026.
