(KPL/Prensa Latina) The gallery of Antonio Rodriguez Morey Information Center at Havana’s National Museum of Fine Arts will host the exhibition "Hall of Fame (1)" on July 17, dedicated to personal caricature.

Curated by Yahima Marina Rodriguez, the exhibition will allow a revisit to the museum’s collection of funny drawings and will interact with the text “David,” which is part of the bibliographic collection that will accompany the visual presentation.

The title, written by Jose Antonio Evora and published by Letras Cubanas in 1986, portraits the interest in the emergence and development of caricature in Cuba, as well as in the work of Juan Eduardo David Posada (1911-1981).

According to the institution’s Facebook profile, the volume, which can be consulted at the Information Center, showcases research work on David Posada’s creations, through personal caricatures and his political satire work for the newspaper Informacion.

In its three chapters, it links history with the technical and artistic development of graphic humor in the country, from the early decades of the 20th century to the early 1980s, with the most significant events of that period in Cuba, the publication adds.
