(KPL)The National Assembly is reviewing a revised Law on Irrigation to improve water use, boost farm productivity, and support climate resilience.

The new law expands the definition of irrigation, strengthens safety standards, and gives more power to local authorities. It also focuses on dam safety, modern tech, and clearer funding rules.

This update supports the government’s “3-Builds” policy and aims to streamline outdated regulations for better oversight and sustainable agriculture.

Lawmakers praised the draft and offered suggestions ahead of its adoption.
