(KPL) President Thongloun Sisoulith and his delegation will attend the 30th International Conference on the Future of Asia, following an invitation from the Japanese economic daily Nikkei.
The conference will be held from 29 to 30 May 2025 in Tokyo, Japan, under the theme “Asia’s Challenge in a Turbulent World.”
Organized annually by Nikkei since 1995, the International Conference on the Future of Asia serves as a key platform for dialogue among leaders and senior figures from governments, the private sector, international organizations, and academic institutions across Asia. It provides an opportunity to exchange perspectives on pressing regional and global issues.
During his official visit, President Thongloun is also scheduled to hold high-level meetings with His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan, Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru, and members of the Japan-Laos Parliamentary Friendship Committee. These meetings aim to further strengthen the longstanding bilateral relationship and enhance cooperation between Laos and Japan.
