(KPL) Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, has extended his congratulations to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on his re-election victory in the federal election held on 3 May 2025.
(KPL) Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, has extended his congratulations to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on his re-election victory in the federal election held on 3 May 2025.
In a letter sent on 19 May, Prime Minister Sonexay offered his warmest wishes on behalf of the Lao government and people, expressing admiration for Mr. Albanese’s leadership.
“I am delighted to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to you on your victory,” wrote Mr. Sonexay. “I am confident that, under your capable and visionary leadership, Australia will continue to thrive, achieve greater progress, and play an increasingly prominent role on the regional and global stage.”
He also reaffirmed the strong and expanding ties between Laos and Australia, and expressed his readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation.
“I look forward to working closely with you to further strengthen our warm friendship and fruitful collaboration, especially as we continue to build upon the comprehensive partnership we signed together in Melbourne in 2024,” he stated.
The Lao premier concluded by wishing Prime Minister Albanese good health, continued success, and prosperity for the Australian people.
