(KPL/Prensa Latina) The Cuban Embassy in Belarus participated in the opening of the 20th edition of the Minsk International Health Fair, reported Cuban Ambassador to Belarus Santiago Pérez.
Pérez held multiple meetings with representatives of the Belarusian pharmaceutical and medical sectors and appreciated the progress made in these areas.
The diplomat announced the decision of the Cuban Regulatory Authority for Medicines, Equipment, and Medical Devices (CECMED) to authorize the temporary registration for two years of 46 Belarusian medicines from the companies Belmedpreparati, Borimed, and MinskIntercaps, all grouped within the Pharmprom holding company, as well as from Adacadempharm, with which an international medical partnership has been created with Medsol Laboratories of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Group (BioCubaFarma).
The ambassador informed his Belarusian counterpart that the International Medicines Fair and the Health for All event, sponsored by the Ministry of Public Health, will be held in Havana from April 21 to 25.
Finally, the diplomat emphasized that relations between both countries in the health sector are increasing and will be part of the discussions of the Cuba-Belarus joint international session, which will take place in May.
