Salsa Festival readies details for its next edition in Cuba

KPL (KPL/Prensa Latina) The Salsa Festival, an event created and organized in Cuba by musician and orchestra director Maykel Blanco, today specifies the details for its start-up on February 19. Considered one of the most significant and eagerly awaited cultural events in Cuba, the festival, scheduled to last until February 23, will take place at Havana's Club 500.

(KPL/Prensa Latina) The Salsa Festival, an event created and organized in Cuba by musician and orchestra director Maykel Blanco, today specifies the details for its start-up on February 19. Considered one of the most significant and eagerly awaited cultural events in Cuba, the festival, scheduled to last until February 23, will take place at Havana's Club 500.

That venue will host performers and orchestras such as Adalberto Alvarez and his Son, the Septeto Santiaguero, Eduardo Sandoval, Manolito Simonet and his Trabuco, Papucho and Manana Club, Pedrito Martinez, Issac Delgado, Alexander Abreu and Havana D’ Primera and Paulito FG and his Elite.

The program also includes Monika Mesa, Haila Maria Mompie, Elito Reve y su Charangon, Juan Guillermo, Brunella Torpoco de Peru, Manolin el Medico de la Salsa, Los Van Van, and Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor.

In addition to the enjoyment of live music with salsa and timba players, the event includes the work of Djs and, on this occasion, there will be Dj Andrea, from Italy; Javier la Rosa and Alan Garcia, from Mexico; Ivan Dj Salsa and Dj Lao, from Spain, and Javier Dj Miramar and Spanglish Dj, the latter two from Cuba.

The Salsa Festival, as every year, will offer the opportunity to learn how to dance and enjoy the talent of some of the most renowned Cuban dancers in the world, including Maykel Font, Yanet Fuentes, and Jennyselt Galata.
