KPL Indonesian President-elect Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by his delegation, arrived at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane on the evening of September 5, 2024, for an official visit.

(KPL) Indonesian President-elect Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by his delegation, arrived at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane on the evening of September 5, 2024, for an official visit.
The delegation received a warm welcome from Ms. Khemmani Pholsena, Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, alongside other high-ranking officials.
The visit serves as an introduction ahead of Subianto’s formal inauguration as President of Indonesia on October 22, 2024. It also aims to strengthen the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Laos and Indonesia, which have enjoyed over six decades of diplomatic ties.
Subianto's visit further seeks to enhance collaboration in development, both regionally and internationally, including within the ASEAN framework.
During his two-day visit, from September 5-6, 2024, President-elect Subianto is scheduled to meet with President Thongloun Sisoulith and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.
