(KPL) More than 10,000 Lao students, including 4200 females, are studying in Vietnam this academic year 2023-2024

Recently, Embassy of Laos to Vietnam held a meeting to conclude the management of Lao education for the year 2023-2024 and set plans for the  2024-2025 academic year at Cuu Long University in Vinh Long Province of the Republic of Vietnam.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Samlan Phankhavong, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of the Lao PDR, Mr Khamtan Somvong, Education-Cultural Advisor of the Lao Embassy to Vietnam, Mr Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Minister of Education and Training of Vietnamese, Mr Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Long Province, with the director of Cuu Long University and relevant officials. 

This meeting reviewed  the management of Lao students who are studying at educational institutions throughout Vietnam over the past months and set directions for the next academic year 2024-2025 to improve corporation on education between Lao and Vietnam. 

Of the Lao students studying in Vietnam, there are 8,478 students representing public sector, 827 representing public security sector, over 800 representing defense sector.
