(KPL/Prensa Latina) The 42nd edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITCuba 2024) finishes its work on Sunday in the Jardines del Rey destination, with the successful evaluation of foreign organizers and attendees.
Dedicated to the Americas, the Caribbean and Russia, and knuckling down to nautical tourism, this encounter contributed to the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) to boost the travel industry on Cuba.
Such recreational exchange (May 1 to 5 in Jardines del Rey) had an impact on tour operators and travel agents from all over the Caribbean and the world, hoteliers, airline executives and other travel professionals interested in Cuba.
One of its successes was precisely in the negotiations for the immediate future, and the contracting of tourist packages on the agents’ side who took part in the meeting.
The Minister also pointed out that this edition exceeded all expectations in terms of participation, since 1,537 foreign professionals attended, including 437 agents on a familiarization visit, from 68 countries, as well as 68 journalists from 12 nations.
It was a professional event held at the Gran Marena Cayo Coco Hotel and showcased the management, business and possibilities that the sector’s professionals can find here.
Under the promotional campaign named “Cuba is Unique,” the potential of rest and relaxation was shown mainly in Latin America, the Caribbean and Russia, so the meeting focused on those regions, without ruling out priority markets such as the European ones.
