Cuban president arrives in Venezuela for ALBA-TCP Summit

KPL (KPL/Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel arrived in Venezuela on Wednesday to participate in the 23rd Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP ), to be held today in Caracas.

(KPL/Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel arrived in Venezuela on Wednesday to participate in the 23rd Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP ), to be held today in Caracas.

The Cuban head of State was welcomed at the Simón Bolívar international airport in Maiquetía by Foreign Minister Iván Gil, ALBA-TCP Executive Secretary Jorge Arreaza, and Cuban Ambassador Dagoberto Rodríguez, among other officials.

Díaz-Canel is accompanied by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and Deputy Foreign Minister Josefina Vidal, who is also the national coordinator of the ALBA-TCP, among other directors and officials.

On his X profile, the Cuban president ratified his participation in the ALBA-TCP Summit and noted the urgency to further strengthen that integration mechanism that the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, described as an unprecedented example of revolutionary solidarity.

The ALBA-TCP was established on December 14, 2014, at the initiative of Commanders Fidel Castro (1926-2016) and Hugo Chávez (1954-2013), and is made up of Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, and Saint Lucia
