Savannakhet launches Visit Laos year 2024

KPL (KPL) Savannakhet Province has officially launched its the Visit Laos Year 2024, linking to the Happy Festival, under the slogan "travel in Laos - Savannakhet Province is safe, fun and enjoyable in fine culture, nature and history".

(KPL) Savannakhet Province has officially launched its the Visit Laos Year 2024, linking to the Happy Festival, under the slogan "travel in Laos - Savannakhet Province is safe, fun and enjoyable in fine culture, nature and history".

The launching ceremony took place on March 10, in Kaysone Phomvihane City, in the presence of Mr Bounthong Chitmany, Vice President, Mr Bounchom Oubonpasert, Governor of Savannakhet Province, and the party- state leaders from the center and local of Savannakhet province.

The event will run till March 17 with various interesting events including a trade fair and food festivals, an amrgiving for 108 monks at the Mekong river banks every morning, art performances from various parts of the country at night, a traditional drum- dance competition, a Khaen competition, a cotton spanning by hand with Phou Thai tribe lifestyle, a traditional food competition, such as grilled chicken, papaya salad and long bean salads and other foods.

Travellers can also enjoy unique Vietnamese and Chinese foods along a walking street.

In addition, a seminar on the topic of "Tourism development of the province", a seminar on the topic of "Cotton is really beautiful", skill training games for children, an exhibition of "old vehicles, a show of "jet ski show in the Mekong River", an exhibition of paintings by a group of famous domestic and foreign artists, a charity parade, clothing from the 70s-80s and an auction of household items, (Lam Vong) dancing fun group will be held.

Mr Bounchom called on all parties to work together to be a good host to welcome the guests with big smiles, generous hugs, friendly spirit, and a spirit of kindness according to the good traditions of Savannakhet province, making tourists feel warm, happy, comfortable, safe, feeling like they are at home in their own home, creating an impression of visiting and wanting to visit again in order to make Savannakhet province develop sustainably.

Currently, there are a total of 116 tourist attractions in Savannakhet province. Among them, there are 74 natural tourist sites, 13 historical sites and 29 cultural tourist sites.

There are 47 hotels, 167 guest houses, two resorts, 258 restaurants and entertainment venus, four restaurants and 12 tour companies.
