NA appoints three new ministers

KPL (KPL) The Standing Committee of the National Assembly’s 9th legislature announced this morning its appointment of three new ministers for Finance, Public Works and Transport, and Energy and Mines.


Vice President of National Assembly Sounthone Xayachack

(KPL) The Standing Committee of the National Assembly’s 9th legislature announced this morning its appointment of three new ministers for Finance, Public Works and Transport, and Energy and Mines.

The ministerial appointments were announced at a press conference by NA’s Vice President Sounthone Xayachack following approvals made at the monthly meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly’s 9th legislature held on Jan 30-31 under the chairmanship of NA President Xaysomphone Phomvihane.

The post of Minister of Public Works and Transport Viengsavanh Siphandone has been transferred to Mr Gnampasong Meuangmany. Meanwhile Minister of Finance Bounchom Oubonpaseut has switched positions with Governor of Savannakhet Province Santipab Phomvihane.

Minister of Energy and Mines Daovong Phonekeo has been replaced by Governor of Saravan Province Phoxay Sayasone.
