(KPL) The newly-built Nam Ngam public park has become the new face of Xiengkhuang province, and is expected to be a new centre point for domestic and foreign tourists.
A handover ceremony took place at the garden in Xiengkhuang province on July 4 in the presence of President of the Sibounheuang Construction Development Company Kettisack Phuckviseth, the General Director of Paek Urban Development and Administration Authority and representatives of the companies.
“The public park is located in Nam Ngam village, Paek district with a total area of 17.5 hectares. The construction work began in 2013 and was completed in 2017,” said Mr Kettisack.
“The public park was built at a total worth of over 130 billion kip (US$ 15,751,694),” said Mr Kettisack.
This project was a priority in line with the socio-economic development strategic plan of province to develop its infrastructure. The construction of the public park is part of the preparations for the 11th National Games that will be hosted by Xiengkhuang province next year.
